Have Heart

Last Friday went and saw Have Heart at one of their last shows in Aus ever, was an amazing show and as i found out only a small part of the entire farewell tour, which is HUGE and no doubt an amazing final tour for them.

Anyway for the last song of Carpathian my flashes bulb blew (which costs $200 to fix), so it meant that I had no flash for Have Hearts set. So with a camera which isn't the best at low light, I still was able to get some shots i was happy with.

Luckily earlier in the week I was able to squeeze in some promos for locals 'If You Seek Amy'
travelled the furthest Ive ever had to, but the promos turned out pretty good, and it was some more good practice on CS3. But I heard that the singer has recently left the band, which means these promos are already useless.ahh well





Also while down there the guitarist's Dad had made a homemade PS3 Racing booth, from a coffin...had to get a shot.

Sunday arvo had nothing to do, so went and shot Amity Affliction and Elora Danan, I didn't really wanna go on account of being sick and not a huge fan of Amity. I was so happy I did cause I found out that Elora Danan are breaking up and it was their last show in Syd ever. They are a band I've liked ever since I first saw em, a really good rock band, and it sucks so many good bands are breaking up. But heaps happy too see em one last time. The show was real short, with Amity and Elora playing only 4 songs each to catch a plane.

The last few weeks have been hell for me, some much has been happening, more bad then good, and its really getting to me. Firstly many personal issues brought me down and have been taking a huge toll on my morals, then on top of that I owe $700, $200 to the government for a fuckin train fine, and $200 to my dad for phone bills, and $300 for a new flash. I'm only gettin about 2 shifts a week from work which means its impossible to live a life which doesn't only involve sitting at home, and be able to pay back all of my debts. But then on top of that, went to see Have Heart for their last Aus show ever. And my flash broke just before their set, not by being physically damaged, but because of some malfunction. And further more It seems I have been ripped off with my order, the flash may have been second hand, even though I bought it from an ebay 'company', as I do not have a warranty slip. So now I'm fucked.
Still was able to pull through some alright pix from have heart, but don't expect good quality as my cam is shit in low light.
But in the end all though it seems a whole lotta things are goin shit for me and makes me wanna give up on photography and not try, I think about the fact that there are people SO SO SO SO much worse off then me. So I'm just goin to keep saving and pay my dues, buy a new flash and just see what happens.

Also keen to here how Bare Your Teeth went, the exhibition open on Friday, so hopefully at least that went well. Also did some promos earlier in the week and will be putting pix from the Have Heart show soon.

Escape

Again it's been awhile since I've shot anything, been busy with work and shit, had a really tough week, so looking forward to going away to Brisbane for my first time this weekend to get my tatt finished;

...By Rachi Brains. Also while down there shooting xStrength Through Purityx Promos and shooting some live photos of provoke which will sick, and of course taking photos of Bris it self.
So will be a really good escape.

Also this week 'Nath' from the band Cutloose who I did promos for awhile ago, showed me this;
which I pretty stoked on, as it is my first offical newspaper publication (on newspaper website and in physical newspaper)

And Again another American band has become been caught by Australia's 'Bermuda triangle curse' , just like Verse when they were here for Boys of Summer earlier this year, Have Heart have announced thier break up and are playing some of thier last few shows her in Aus, so make sure u come check em out;
